Our Guided Fly Fishing Trips on the Cache La Poudre have been great!
Our guides are reporting Tricos in the morning and Baetis starting around 11. This has made for some good fly-fishing. Water is low so look for the deeper runs and holes for your fish. We have been having success all through the canyon. Over night temps have been getting chilly. Fall is definitely in the air. Look for the Brown Trout to be staging for their spawn. Please just leave them alone while they get their freak thing on. Our best flies for the Cache La Poudre are: BWO Cripple #18 in Grey, J’s BWO Emerger #18 in Grey, 97oh #20 in Brown/Grey and Derek’ Trico #18.
