A Fly Fishing Introduction
Liarflies Ladies Fly Fishing Series at Sparge Brewing
Each session includes:
- One Sparge Drink Ticket.
- One Raffle Ticket for great prizes.
- Women specific fishing gear and wader fittings provided by She’s Fly.
- The opportunity to stick around after the session in a great atmosphere, get to know others from the session better, and purchase lunch from a different featured food truck each week.
Session 1:
Saturday, May 14th 9:30-11:30am
“Gear and Knots”
- Learn all about the rod, reel, line, leader, and tippet sizes and functions
- Learn most efficient ways to set up the rod, real, string the line, and connect the leader, tippet, and fly
- Learn different rig set ups and practice putting them together.
Session 2:
Saturday, May 28th 9:30-11:30am
“Fly Tying and Entomology” featuring Liarflies fly tyer, J Pearson
- Learn about the most common insects in the river, their life cycles, and the hatches
- Tie a nymph and dry fly pattern to take home
Session 3:
Saturday, June 11th 9:30-11:30am
“Casting and Fishing Techniques”
- Learn how to perform different casts needed when fly fishing
- Practice casting from different angles
- Learn how to connect fishing techniques with your cast to prepare to catch fish
