Spring has sprung on the Cache La Poudre River. Blue Winged Olives are trying oh so hard to hatch. That should all change this weekend. I expect to see those little sailboats in the lower sections of the Poudre. The water is currently very low. Look for the some of the trout to have moved out of the deep and slow water and into the more bumpy runs. A 9ft 5X leader tappered down with 6x tippet is what my clients will be using this weekend.
