Flies of the Week 10/16/17
Our Estes Park and Fort Collins Fly Fishing Guides report that the wind sucked this Saturday. No really, nobody ever says “we could use more wind”. BWO’s are getting thin on the river. Our guides had to go to midges this week. Top and Bottom trout hit them. Our Estes Park and Fort Collins Fly Fishing Guides choice for flies of the week are all Midges. The top producer being the #20 Glass-O-Wine nymph. We did not have to resort to a nymph rig. We stuck with a dry dropper. On top we are choosing a #18 Old Town Midge.
