Olives on the Poudre River
Olives are hatching on the Poudre River. We have spent 5 days this week fly fishing on the Poudre. It’s been hit or miss. Yesterday was an absolute struggle with no clouds and low water which made the trout super spooky. Today was a different story. Intermittent clouds made the trout feel safer and more willing to hit the surface. We only fished with dries in town. Midges worked in the morning and about 11:30 the Olives would start.
This the perfect time of year to take our Beginner Anglers’ Class. For more information please call (800) 858-6808 or visit www.shoprma.com.
